Gear Box Drain Bit

This unusual tool is necessary for changing gear oil on many Audi, VW and Porsche transmissions, differentials and all wheel drive components. Hex-end (17 mm) fits older models while star-shaped end fits later models. The star end is called out as tool #2567 and #3357 in repair manuals. Compact design will fit into your 19 mm or 3/4" box wrench or socket for maximum leverage. Heat treated alloy steel. Not for impact tool usage.

CAUTION: Some late model automatic transmissions do not have dipsticks and if you drain the fluid out, you will need a diagnostics computer when refilling to tell you when the tranny is "full".
