We are now offering a full FMIC solution that can mate up to your OEM throttle body and turbo discharge sections. This kit uses an S3-style core which provides the benefits of a large surface area FMIC while providing unmatched performance and style. We used 3D modeling software to design the end tanks and created custom casts based off the fitment of the OEM S3 intercooler; the only difference is that ours is about twice as thick with even more surface area than the already full-faced OEM unit.
We tested our FMIC vs. the OEM FMIC found on Fsi motors and the intake temperatures were significantly lower than stock; this means colder, denser air going into your motor which equals more boost! On a 110° F day in Phoenix, AZ, we ran our FMIC vs. an OEM FMIC on a 2007 GTI (BPY) with our EJ400 Big Turbo Kit, HPFP, injectors, and Unitronic tune, and the intake temps were about 30-50° below OEM!
