   Many years ago the auto parts business was easier than it is today. There were fewer part numbers that covered many models and less manufacturers making those parts. Back then, there were catalogs to look up part numbers and a card system used to stock and order them. Times were easier and much easier for vehicle repairs as well. You could purchase a part that was needed and install it yourself on a Saturday afternoon in your garage!

   As the years have passed and so called improvements made, those that are in the parts industry have gone through incredible changes. With all the different car manufacturers and countless models just imagine how many different part numbers there are and how many different manufacturers making those parts today! There use to be micro-film and catalogs to look up part numbers and then replaced by catalogs alone. Now it seems that everything is being replaced by computer cataloging and the internet. And as far as the do it yourself individuals, good luck getting it done in your garage much less understanding what you are doing. Don’t misunderstand, there are some people that can, but most cannot and its just going to keep getting more involved and complicated as the years go on.

     This site is designed to go straight to the source! Many manufacturers that are making the part can have it cataloged much better than a computerized (universal) cataloging system due to the fact they are specialized in the area of the part they are making. With that said, whether you are a true parts pro or a daring do it yourselfer, this site was designed with that purpose in mind. Once you have part numbers it is up to you where you go with that.
